Tama Bloggerin temppuilu on arsyttavaa. *murinaa* Burahrum, etten sanoisi. Just kun mie yritan epatoivoisesti valttaa veroilmoitusten tarkistamista, Blogger koettaa kovasti olla nurin.

Sanovat, etta parittomien sukkien esittely tuo huonoa onnea. Tai etta ne ei valmistu. Tai jotain sinnepain. Ei meilla vaan, modernit Jussi-sukat saivat eilen illalla parin:

I hate when Blogger's doing this "I'm down, I'm not down" -thing. Just when I'm trying to avoid boring chores (taxes, for Finland), it does this. I'm determined to update my blog :)

They say showing pictures of socks without a pair brings bad luck. Or that you won't finish the pair if you show such pictures. Well, I don't know about that. Mr HairyFeet's modern Jussi sock got a pair yesterday evening.

Mie tykkaan naista sukista, ne on kauniit. Melkein parasta naissa oli, etta sain Argyle-sukista jaaneet jamat kaytettya siihen toiseen sukkaan, eli mulle jai yksi aivan iskematon kera tata sinista eika ollenkaan jamalankoja.

I like the blue socks, they're pretty. And the best thing was that I could use all my left-over yarn for the second sock! I had some LO yarn from the Argyle Socks I knitted last winter, and I was glad and surprised to notice that LO yarn was of the same dye lot as the first blue sock. The yarn for Mr HairyFeet's socks was ordered months after the yarn for the Argyle Socks. So, it's wise to save the labels, you might be surprised some times. Now I have one full ball of this yarn left and no LO yarn at all :)

The blue socks also fit Mr HairyFeet very well, even with the i-cord in the cuff. The traditional Jussi socks, however... Well, let me just say, fitting before knitting the foot is a beautiful thing, especially with Fair Isle in which I'm no pro. So, I paid a visit to the pond, the cuff's a goner. (Scroll down for a previous pic of these two socks.) It's only a cuff, for only one sock, so I'll knit a bit wider cuff and fit it before I knit the second sock :)

Ja sit mie pistelin eilen hiukan.

And then I stitched some.

Nyt ei tyon alla ole paljon mitaan ihmeellista, vanhoja sovittuja juttuja vaan, ja keskeneraisia. Taidan menna sohvanmutkaan hakemaan inspista, palataan astialle.

Now I don't really have anything big in progress, only some old stuff, and UFOs. So it might take a while before I have pics of FO's for you. Now I'm off to find the inspiration! (No, 'tis not the hooch! It's not noon yet.) Later, folks!

oi, tuo delfiini-pistotyö on todella suloinen! :)
ja neuletyösi ovat upeita, varsinkin kelttisukkia ihailen kovasti, täytyy varmaan joskus uskaltautua tekemään ne.

Ahh Ahh Ahhh I love the socks. The gray sock with striped toe and heel is great but they're both wonderful for a man. Your blog is like a sock pattern book!! :)

annika: kiitos kiitos :) kokeilemaan vaan rohkeasti :)

laura: Yes, they're mainly men's socks and I'm very proud of them since there really are so few pattern for men. Though, I don't see why a woman could not wear them too :) And I guess I should knit something else than socks for a change ;D
